While absolutely adorable, a puppy might not be the best gift for a frequent traveler. But, with Hannukah here and Christmas around the corner, I am so excited to share my suggestions for the best travel gifts! Shopping is like a sport to me, and I delight in finding and giving the perfect gift for any occasion. Often, it takes time and thought to find something to give to a friend or family member with whom I don’t have much in common. However, since I travel a lot, I use almost all of the items listed, and suggesting the items below as gifts for others is a no-brainer for me!

If you’re anything like me, your jewelry gets tangled no matter how well you think you’ve packed it! This case can be monogrammed, and keeps your jewelry clean and organized – also doubling as a catch-all for other essentials, like sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, and hair ties!

There’s something about being outside of your normal comfort zone and routine that is so liberating and inspiring. Encourage your favorite travel to capture those vacay vibes by journaling for a few quiet moments in one of these travel-inspired journals or pocket notebooks.

Prevent cluttered counter-tops in small hotel bathrooms with a hanging toiletry bag. As with several of my other travel essentials, mine was originally a gift from a friend. Now, I can’t live without it! This one is a bit on the pricey side, but offers a sleek design and free personalization.

Compression socks are notoriously unsightly, but there is a reason why flight attendants swear by them. They encourage blood blow and reduce your risk of developing a blood clot en route. I find when I wear them, my legs swell less and feel less sore after a long flight. This article from Travel + Leisure suggests several brands to consider (and some of them are even cute!).

If you’re feeling spendy, this spinner suitcase makes commuting a breeze, and is thoughtfully designed, with multiple pockets and straps to secure valuables. I have both the carry on and check-in sizes and love them both!

Environmental consciousness is sexy. To protect our beautiful planet from plastic waste so travelers can enjoy it for years to come, consider gifting re-usable items, such as this collapsible coffee cup, collapsible water bottle, or fold-able straw. For the adventurous traveler, try this water bottle that sanitizes the water with LED light!

For the pilot, #avgeek, or traveler who is just really, really, annoyingly familiar with his or her own airport, this company makes great quality items with real air traffic maps from the area surrounding your loved ones’ favorite airport. I have the (most comfortable!) leggings and purchased a beautiful tie for my dad.

For the accessory queen in your life, this company makes jewelry inspired by and adorned with tickets from different airports.

For a long-distance love, customize a pillow, mug, or cellphone case with a special “boarding pass” design, featuring your regular flight number and an important date. I bought my boyfriend one that has the date of our anniversary, the flight number I take to visit him, and the gate at which we shared our first kiss!
